Day 1-2 Arriving in Japan

Hello friends and family!

The team arrived safely in Japan, praise God! Thank you for all your prayers.


The flight was long, but good. Donny is still under the weather, but is getting rest. Mike arrived this morning. Uchimura sensei was so kind to pick us all up from the airport. We arrived at Evergreen Chapel and were greeted by Kuniko and Michiko san with a wonderful dinner - omurisu (omelette rice). Joy and Hiromi Hatachi enjoyed dinner with us.




The team unpacked the supplies and got some well needed rest.

Please continue to pray for Donny to feel better. Miho san is feeling under the weather as well and Hiromi Matsushima san is also reported to be having GI issues. Pray for God’s healing hand over everyone here.

Tomorrow we begin J.O.Y Club preparations.

Day 5 J.O.Y Club Christmas Party

Hi Family & Friends Today is the big day! J.O.Y Club Christmas Party. The team along with several Evergreen Chapel volunteers came to get everything together for the kids. This year we had 30 children, along with their parents attend. The time was such a blessing with the kids :) So many volunteers came to help bake yummy treats, including persimmon cake, cheesecake, and chocolate cream cake for the children. Such loving hearts and amazing bakers! The kids had so much fun playing games, listening to the story about the birth of Jesus, making an ornament craft, getting tattoos, getting their pictures taken, and picking out prizes to take home with them.  It was such a great day with the kids! Day 14 Returning to Los Angeles

Getting Ready for the Mission

Hello friends & family! We are currently getting ready for our short term missions trip to Machida Japan. We will be working along side our long time partner and friend, Joy Tani at Evergreen Chapel. Team Members: Donny Chitwood, Chelsea Pinon, Tracy Kaku, Jean Shibasaki, Mike Inoue. While there is so much still left to do, the team is working hard to get things together.
